TRACEABILITY
Having our own sourcing office in Florence and direct network of manufacturing facilities in the Mediterranean area gives us a unique proximity to the product and people we work with while limiting our carbon footprint. We are proud of our supply chain and wanted to tell you more about it.
BUT FIRST, WHAT IS A SUPPLY CHAIN ?
The supply chain refers to the process of tracking each step of the clothes manufacturing process, from the sourcing of the raw materials, to the factories where those materials are made into garments, to the final distribution, to consumers. Here is what our supply chain looks like.
Step n°1
DESIGN AND SOURCING
Our design and sourcing team is based in Florence. This is where we create our collections starting from the concept stage. Our in-house team source fabrics and conduct color, trim and fit research in-house. We leverage deadstock and natural fibers as much as possible and buy fabrics that we re-use across seasons. So, nothing is lost, everything is transformed. Once details are finalized, samples are developed by pattern-makers and sewers for final approval before going into production.
Step n°2
MANUFACTURING
100% of our production is made in the Mediterranean area, which gives us a unique proximity to the product and people we work with. We oversee the design, sourcing and production of our collections without intermediaries, and ship our products directly to you from Florence where we are based. We only work with suppliers and manufacturers that we have previously visited and onboarded.
Step n°3
DISTRIBUTION
Once the production is finalized and passed our quality control, we receive all garments in our office in Florence where we prepare your orders. Because we do not have any intermediaries for sourcing and manufacturing our products as well as no physical stores, we are able to practice an average of 3x markup against 6-7x for traditional brands. This markup allow us to pay for our company expenses such as salaries and insurances, as well as investing in future products.
