ABOUT US
Aeterno Studio is a personal project that started in Florence (Italy) in 2020 from the impulse of the creative duo and couple Matthew and Fernanda Gallinaro. They are part of the third-generation of a family-owned business dedicated to garment making which was founded by their grand-parents in Italy back in the seventies.
A note from the founders
Aeterno Studio is a tribute to our family heritage and savoir-faire, a celebration of the makers of yesterday and the ones of tomorrow. For many years, we have been discovering, partnering and working with talented mills, suppliers and artisans across Italy and the Mediterranean area of which many became long-time friends. Aeterno Studio was born as a collaborative project, imagined to capture the know-how and legacy from our trusted network of partners to create contemporary wearable essentials made to be lived in, to last and be collected in time.
Aeterno Studio is inspired by people: family, co-workers, friends, artisans and artists from Florence and from the world, with the common desire to create something meaningful for the present and for the future generations.

OUR 6 PRINCIPLES
We have established six principles which define our brand and drive our decisions everyday. Scroll to discover our key promises and values.
Principle n°1
WE DO NOT FOLLOW THE PACE OF FASHION.
In a world where everything has to go fast, we chose to slow down. We follow our own calendar and take the time to do things right. Every design that we imagine is considered - from the fabric to the cut and trims - so you can wear it over and over.
Principle n°2
WE ARE INTO LONG-TERM RELATIONSHIPS.
We have been working with the same partners for years. We are proud of our supply chain and the people we work with. And the same goes for our products. We build our collections around core items that last and can be paired effortlessly across seasons.
Principle n°3
WE GO STRAIGHT TO THE SOURCE.
Having our own sourcing office in Florence and direct network of manufacturing facilities in the Mediterranean area gives us a unique proximity to the product and people we work with, while limiting our carbon footprint. There is no middle man between us and our suppliers, which allows us to practice an average of 2.5-3x markup on our products compare to 6-7x for traditional brands.
Principle n°4
WE HAVE THE AMBITION TO KEEP IT SMALL.
Our collections are produced in reasonable quantities. Having our own factory and long lasting relationships with our suppliers allows us to not over-produce only to meet the minimums. We leverage deadstock and natural fibers as much as possible and buy fabrics that we re-use across seasons so nothing is lost, everything is transformed.
Principle n°5
WE BELIEVE IN CARING BEFORE REPLACING.
Everything we produce is made with longevity in mind. You will find in our online guides and care labels some tips and tricks to help you extend the life of your garments.
Principle n°6
WE WANT TO TAKE YOU THROUGH OUR JOURNEY.
It takes a long time to build a brand and a community, to gain trust. We want to share our story in-the-making and the ones of the people we meet along the way - in all transparency.

BEHIND THE NAME
Aeterno - from the Latin everlasting - translates our mission to create garments that last. Well-made and considered designs, that you will want to wear over and over. Studio completes Aeterno as a tribute to all the makers and creative minds who inspires the brand and will keep making it grow.

CO-CREATION
Aeterno Studio was born with the idea to design the very best of a garment: timeless, refined and wearable, together with our trusted network of artisans and community. We want to create clothes that you really need and will want to wear for years. This is why we will regularly ask your thoughts on cuts, colors and new product development for the upcoming seasons.
THE MEMBERS-ONLY SALE
Because we do not have any intermediaries for sourcing and manufacturing our products as well as no physical stores, we are able to practice an average of 3x markup against 6-7x for traditional brands. This markup allow us to pay for our company expenses such as salaries and insurances, as well as investing in future products. We consider that our garments are fairly priced and for this reason, we never publicly go on sale. However, we do think that loyalty deserved to be rewarded and propose from time to time a members-only sale when we need to make space for new products in our warehouse.

EVENTS
We do not have physical stores but regularly organize events to meet our community. Receive our invites to our pop-up and collaborations directly to your inbox.
